Advent is
finally here! I'm so excited! Now I can listen to
Christmas music and not seem so weired. I
finally got
our advent wreath made. I couldn't find any greenery at the stores last
Sunday so that evening
Cheryl and I stood one candle up and sang O come, oh come
Emanuel. After school got out today I went to Fred Meyer to put a check in the bank and decided to test my luck again and found this beautiful greenery stuff! This advent I want to focus more on what
Christmas is about and less time going crazy trying to find the right presents!
Father John calls it to conspire against the conspiracy. To plot against the conspiracy the media tells us about Christmas, that we have to buy the right gifts for loved ones, buy the new
Christmas outfit and buy a
lavishing Christmas dinner. This
Christmas I want to have the mentality of giving and not
receiving, I want to be thankful for the beautiful people that God has put in my life and I want to grow deeper in faith as we celebrate the arrival of baby Jesus. I also want to focus on the small stuff that makes the
Christmas season so beautiful. After school gets out next week, I want to sit on the couch with a good book, some eggnog and listen to
Christmas carols. Or go pick a tree out with my sister...
Lol, if she waits that long! Oh and Now I can say Merry Christmas to people too!

Nice Advent Wreathe. Must be genetic...the first night we put a candle in a quart jar to light it.......then to the store for candles the next one.
