My studies

         Yesterday was my last day of my intensive art course at Atelier Maui. It's hard to remember that  "quiet", anxious and optimistic girl showing up here with fresh mind. Today, my brain is stuffed to the brim...making me feel a little crazy. Maybe that's why all artist are eccentric and forgetful? Hmmm..... Anyway, here are some of s studies. Mind you they are studies.... Not my art. Lol....

Alexej Harlamoff

A couple days ago my teacher brought down a Russian book of a collection of Russian artists. He had asked us to look at the book and see if we liked any of them. I looked at it yesterday and really like this one painter, Alexeji Harlamoff, but of course  the book was written in Russian and I couldn't figure out how to write his name. So, this afternoon I asked Semyon how to spell his name in English. He told me, but by the look on his face, he was not impressed that I picked "not  very famous" artist. Go figure, first Fechin and now Harlamoff... Pretty sure my teacher thinks I'm a lost cause at this point.... Lol. I'm not saying that his art is amazing, but I really like the colors,  how the images are pleasing and that they look like paintings... Not a picture!
